Set Description:
This is CGC’s MOST-AWARDED TWD Deluxe comic set
Introduction
From October 2020, Image Skybound reissued The Walking Dead (TWD) comics in full colour as The Walking Dead Deluxe (TWDD). Dave McCaig coloured Tony Moore's and Charlie Adlard's original TWD covers (marketed as cover B) and comic art. With two new issues published each month, it will likely be the end of 2028 when the final issue #193 is re-issued.
I was delighted - literally over the moon - to have a letter I had written feature in Letter Hacks of TWDD #67. I now feel officially a small part of the TWD universe.
New Covers
For this series, David Finch created a new cover (marketed as cover A) coloured by McCaig for each issue, also #1 Sketch, #7 Sketch, #1-12 Second Printing / Virgin Sketch / Gold foil (CVL) and Red Sketch foil (CVL), 52 Variant, 53 Variant, and 108D. Finch also created the Youngblood Team-Up covers for 124D (colour) and 124E (B&W virgin), and the Invincible Team-Up cover for 132F.
For the first time, Charlie Adlard created covers for issues #1-6, all of which are shown below. In the original TWD series, the first six covers were created by Tony Moore, with Charlie taking over from #7 to the final issue #193. For this new series, Charlie also created new covers for issues #19, 25, 27 and 27LCS/foil, 34, 38, 42, 50, 53, 100F, K, and second printing, 106D, and the Invincible Team-Up issue 133E.
