Set Description:
I first found the work of LB Cole here on the boards and I was immediately hooked. For a few decades now I've been collecting anything that he's produced and I've amassed quite a collection. This is a set of my LB Cole books that I have graded so far. They may not be high grade, but they are all mine! Cole did a wide variety of genres, and I'm going after them all. This is something I've been working on for over 20 years - a complete LB Cole cover collection. Some may call this a bit insane, but hey - that's collecting! At the moment I've got about 175 books in this set and I have another 200+ to get graded still.
At the moment there isn't much reason for the order, except for the first few. The Four Favorites is Cole's very first comic cover so that has to go first. I followed it up with my copies of Mask Comics just because they are the biggest "must have" Cole covers.
After that I just have them in a random order. I think mixing them up like this shows off more of the versatility of Cole's art as well as the different genres that he produced covers for. Maybe I'll eventually change this up by putting them in either alphabetical or maybe even chronological order. Any thoughts on this?
Cole did a bunch of other things besides comics too. There's a bunch of pulps he did covers for and I even have some oversized coloring books he did later on for topics including outer space and even grocery shopping! I love the odd stuff!
On a side note, this set was featured in the CGC Collectorverse series of articles in May 2024!
Check it out here!
I invite you to also take a look at my custom set, always changing, and I plan on adding any book that Cole worked on there, even if it was just interiors. So you'll see some books there that you can't see here.
You can visit that here:

I want to spruce this set up a bit, maybe add some pictures and things to the description or some bio info on the man himself. Have any ideas or something you'd like to see? PM me an let me know!
More to follow! Thanks for looking!
