Set Description:
Aaahhh, here is the Adams run that needs no introduction. Social relevance? You better believe it. If for nothing else, Adams and O'Neil will be remembered for this. I won't go into all the real life issues covered in these books, as any GL or comic book fan is already familiar with them. Suffice to say, Neal does beautiful work here with most of his pencilling inked by Dick Giordano, who, like Tom Palmer at Marvel, ranks as the best ever to work with Adams. Issue 76 is my favourite DC cover after Tomahawk 116. Nowadays social comment is quite the norm in comic books. But in 1970 it must have been novelty. And a jolting one at that. A sad day indeed when this magazine was cancelled in 1972.
