Set Description:
I think the first Wolverine comic I bought was issue 39. From there I had a subscription up to issue 60 or so and vowed I would go back and complete the full run. Then high school came, then college, and before you know it old Wolverine had pounded out 189 issues and I was way way behind. Around 2010 I dug out my old box of comics with the intention of selling them off at a huge profit since I kept them in such great condition all this time! Then I discovered graded comics. And the prices my raw books were selling for just wasn't enough for me to part with them. So instead, I decided to start BUYING comics! I would go back and build that Wolverine set, only this time I'd collect the graded ones! After a few years of picking off copies here and there on ebay my set just wasn't filling up as fast as I wanted. So I began buying large runs of Wolverine comics from collectors. I'd look for potential 9.8 copies and send them off for pre-screening. This method allowed me to build an extensive set, but also resulted in lots of extra 9.8 duplicate copies, and thousands of non-graded copies. I now consider myself one of the premier market makers in the Wolverine 1988 set both for CGC and non graded copies. I've made some friends here on the registry including the top set holders who have helped me build my set along the way. This year I began cracking my 9.8s and getting them signed. One day I'd love to have the top set but I know I'm going to have to rip some 9.9s and 10s away from the top guys first :)
