Animal versions of Ogami Itto and Daigoro are recurring characters in Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo as Yagi and Gorogoro- The Lone Goat and Kid.
Alas, on MEIFUMADO, (The Road To Hell), the first duel between Ogami Itto and Yagu Retsudo runs 178 panels-one of the longest single fight scenes ever published in comics.
