[BLOOD & CLAWS: PART ONE]

Wolverine #35 is currently the only issue that has never been graded at a CGC 9.8!

According to the CGC Census Report, as of 6/8/2012, there are only two (2) copies graded as a Universal 9.6 and three (3) copies graded as a Signature Series 9.6.

Furthermore, there are only a total of six (6) copies (including my copy) graded as a Universal 9.4! Therefore, that makes this copy the second highest graded! Moreover, it is also important to note that my #35 copy (which was a self-submission) is a "newsstand" edition!

The newsstand editions were the books sitting inside of carousel racks in the back of grocery stores, magazine store fronts, & book stores, etc. They were easily accessible to be read by anyone - including the high energy adolescents/teens who could care less about properly handling a comic book! The newsstand editions were identified by the "bar code" on the front of the book that replaced the typical "Spider-Man" head, which was symbolic to identifying a Marvel Comic direct edition.

With this in mind, due to the rarity of even finding direct editions in near mint condition of this issue, and considering that no copy has been branded with a 9.8 status, makes this CGC 9.4 Newsstand issue pretty special!

One of my goals is to become the first person to submit a copy to the CGC that becomes graded at a 9.8!
