ISSUE SYNOPSIS: - The Void (Heap/Greenworld storyline part 2 of 3)

As Sam and Twitch analyze the results of their research on the former life of Al Simmons, Spawn fights for his life against the Heap, who successfully engulfs him in massive pile of trash just as Cog and the angel Bootsy arrive to save the day. When the angel bows in prayer, he finds the sigil of the Hellspawn – a token symbol which drives home the absence of Spawn, who has entered the domain of a power that is independent of the battle in which he is caught. In this dark space, Eddie Beckett awaits Spawn in order to guide him home.
