ISSUE SYNOPSIS: - The Reckoning

Al Simmons is tested by Malebolgia upon returning to hell. A demon in the likeness of Wanda torments Simmons; when he realizes that he has been tricked, Spawn destroys the demon, thereby passing another of Malebolgia’s tests. Attempting once again to strike a bargain for Spawn’s soul, Malebolgia agrees to leave Wanda alone in exchange for Spawn’s loyalty and servitude. Spawn imprints in Terry’s mind the message that Al is still alive.
