Owner's Description

1st appearance of Firebird (11/81). A pyrokinetic character and former member of the Avengers. She was born in New Mexico and while walking in the deserts, came into contact with a radioactive meteorite fragment. The radiation altered her DNA and gave her powers to generate flames and heat (nothing too new) and also fly (they all seem to). She believed her powers to come from the legendary firebird so she assumed the bird's name and donned a costume to represent herself. She later joined a team called the Rangers. Later she joined the west Coast Avengers.
