Owner's Description
I Love Lucy (#1) 2/54. CGC calls this a "Partial photo" as well as a "Photo frantispiece". Hy Rosen: penciler, inker. A 9.4 and 9.2 are the sole books graded better of a whopping 50 books submitted for grading to date. This is as many as any other four color previous to this, at least. (4/12).
Stories Include:
1. The Midnight Snack
2. Suds in Your Eyes
3. Strike Up the Band
Interesting info: Dell Comics published 35 issues of an I Love Lucy comic book between 1954 and 1962 including two try-out Four Color issues (#535 and #559).[11] King Features syndicated a comic strip (credited to "Bob Lawrence" but actually written by Lawrence Nadel and drawn by Bob Oksner) from 1952 to 1955.[12][13] Eternity Comics in the early 1990s issued comic books that reprinted the strip and Dell comic book series.
I Love Lucy was the most watched show in the United States in four of its six seasons, and was the first to end its run at the top of the Nielsen ratings (an accomplishment later matched by The Andy Griffith Show and Seinfeld). I Love Lucy is still syndicated in dozens of languages across the world.
