Owner's Description

A classic depiction of Adolf Hitler, the Emperor of Hate, marks this issue as my favorite of the run. Alex Schomburg's rendering of Hitler is very realistic and the background scenes of Nazis machine gunning women and the images of concentration camps adds to the effectiveness of his message. I particularly like Hitler clutching a skull and a pistol on the cover.

I have actively collected the Golden Age Hitler covers for over 3 decades and this one ranks as one of my favorites. Back in the late 1980's and early 1990's, I was actively searching for a copy of this book without success. One year at Chicago Con, I spotted this book on the bottom shelf of a dealer's wall, sort of obscured by other comics. While I came away with some other gems at that show, I don't think there was anything I cherished more on the flight home than this Real Life #3.
