***...and after the people under the stairs escaped the house where they were held captive, they wandered their new landscape- looking for work, trying to fit-in, learning the ways of the outside world after being locked in a basement. Needless to say their bad hygiene, lack of certain appendages, and total ignorance to societies demands made it impossible to live a normal life. Years go by- they are still struggling on the streets- no work, no food, no toothbrushes- NO SEQUEL!- if Wes Craven would have just done another movie they would have been set- they could have got personal managers and representation, maybe a franchise would have emerged and they would have been very well off.

The people under the stairs did eventually get a gig doing a photo-shoot. Some TV network wanted promo pictures to use for advertising an up-coming TV show. The show had something to do with zombies- Open Auditions, "LOOKING FOR SICKLEY DISHEVLED PALE PEOPLE" so these guys were perfect. They were hired immediately! Finally a break! (and a PAYING gig!)

Since no one knew if the show would flop or not, there wasn't much extra money to waste on make-up and effects, even for a promo. (this aint no J.J. Abrams show) The people under the stairs showed up at the shoot- leaned into a fence, (no make-up needed, nothing too "zombie-ish" was applied)- they took about 5 pictures. and that was it. They were paid eighty dollars each and they were promised to be considered for use in the actual show. A possible come-back!

No one ever called them.

The people under the stairs each spent their eighty dollars- The show came out and became the most watched program on TV. The people under the stairs didn't even get credits or residuals from the promo-photos! (the dummies signed a waver, -didn't have representation)

"Roach" was the only person under the stairs to make it big- some thought he died in the fireplace- but he actually faked his death so he could steal some gold coins and sneak-off without having to take that sniveling girl with him. She would have only slowed him down, (and eventually spend all his gold coins too). He took a shower and became an actor and does cameos in tons of movies. He's no Corey Feldman, but he's doing pretty good.
