--Walking Dead #1 re-creation. Sketched and signed by Greg Kirkpatrick on 7/2/13--

**I was walking the streets of Hilltop, it was a nice clear night, the moon was full, the walkers were quiet- I think they found a field of dead cows nearby, and pretty much any roamer throughout a 5 mile radius were all lurking over at the dead cow farm at the zombie-hamburger party. It was very peaceful. I was in deep meditation, thinking of how when I look at all the blue labels on my Walking Dead books lined up in a row- its like an deep-blue ocean filled with dreams and magic- glad that I wasn't involved with any signature series nonsense- I heard a twig snap in a tree right above me!- before I could look-up, I was enveloped in smoke!- I stood very still- scared, alone...

The smoke cleared- standing before me in the shadows was a man dressed in all red- wearing a red hood...it was a Ninja...The Red Ninja! Instead of unleashing his bow-staff on me- he pleasantly offered me some tea, and in the moonlight, we drank tea...the tea of course was drugged...I blacked-out (it was good tea!)

I came to, realized I was tied to a chair- my shoes were removed, my bare feet in a bucket of water. The Red Ninja stood in front of me- he was holding-up his hands. He had some long objects dangling between each finger- like he was holding 6 cigarettes at once- 3 in each hand. Turns out they were man-eating piranhas- they were "walker-fish" and these were called "pir-roamers"-

He explained that having a sketch comic with an actual sketch on it was way more awesome then a blank (which was meant to be sketched upon anyway) - especially whens its been witnessed and graded! He told me if I was a true warrior- I would embrace the art, I would respect the sketch- I had a choice- I could open my mind, break my moral code and make a blood oath to him that I would buy a signature series book, OR he would drop the pir-roamers from his fingers into the bucket with my feet- and I would have to endure a blood-letting ceremony offering my feet to prove my loyalty to the color blue. I agreed to take the oath. I swore in blood that I would obtain a sketch- (and I also secretly swore vengeance on his secret ninja-clan)- (and that this wasn't over!)

I obtained a graded sketch. The Ninjas' wisdom was without fail. When I finally had my hands on this strange yellow comic, and viewed it with my own eyes, I was ecstatic. The Ninja was right, a good sketch can be pretty amazing, and very impressive. The likeness of this cover to the original is uncanny (like an x-man!)! Greg Kirkpatrick did a fantastic job. And what more official can you get in the Walking Dead sketch-world than having a #1 Sketch!?! Good work Ninja- thanks for your guidance, and for drugging me. (I was pretty wasted!) Now I have to find a nice 115 sketch! (BUT THATS IT!)(NO MORE YELLOW!)(....except that 100 Hero...)(uggggg)
