The Influence on Daredevil, Ronin, TMNT, Frank Miller's influences, and the impact of Kozure Okami on American Comic Books- from the Introduction to the first issue by Frank Miller:<br /><br />"For the longest time I couldn't read the words in my favorite comic book. A friend, Laurie Sutton, handed me a phone book with a water color painting of a samurai on the back cover. Well, it was as thick as a phone book, anyway. Laurie told me that the Japanese like their comics thick, and spared me hours of confusion by informing me that what I thought was the back cover was actually the front. The Japanese read right to left, she explained, not left to right, like us.
