Owner's Description

Big Apple. Prisoner of the Undersea World. Star Hawkins story 14 of 21. A story continued (sort of) from Strange Adventures 130 (although the frogs don't look the same). Is that not the most intense pink? It's great!
This is one of those cover images that I look at again and again. I don't know if it is the rolling sea, or the angle of the jet, which reminds me a little of the jet on issue 118, or the contrast of the green frog-man against the screaming pink sky, but I love to look at this image. The cover artist did well.
And while the contents of the thought balloon are a little silly, some nice person (artist or editor) made certain that the balloon was tucked all the way to the left edge of the frame - out of the way and not cluttering up the image. Overall a successful cover image.
