Owner's Description

The last Animal Man cover and appearance in the SA. What a nice, simple cover composition. The two figures have a nice tension - the text box is incorporated as the 'floor' for the gorilla to stand on and with the strong green/yellow-green background even the word balloon fails to offend. I'm not sold on the draftsmanship involved in the gorilla's face, but the suit, tie, shirt, cuff links and pocket color are so intense that I really don't find myself focussing on the face. Overall - an excellently pleasing SA cover.

You know - it would be funnier if they were making fun of a beastly Hank McCoy with this cover - but Hank doesn't get blue & furry for several years. Too bad - because it would've been bloody hilarious.
