Owner's Description

Twin Cities. "When the Earth Blacked Out." Atomic Knights story 10 of 15. Called the 'only cover appearance of the Atomic Knights' although they do have at least one other cover in the reprint era of Strange Adventures. Oddly, not an issue with many choices in high grade - at this time, three at 9.0 and two at 9.2, so this was about as good as I could get. Let's look at the cover - as the only AK cover it should stand out - and knights riding giant dalmations, smoke spewing tulips, and the mole-aliens, all drawn from a birds eye view with canyons and landscape should be really cool - but two word balloons, a thought bubble, and a text box really cludge up the composition. I don't know where to look. Would I have spent my hard earned money on this? I don't know - the knights on dalmations focus of the image is pretty cool...but...there's just so much talking on the cover.
