When Earth Turned into a Comet! Atomic Knights story 12 of 15.
Look at those clear helms - they remind me of the cover for issue 51 and the air helms there. The beautiful use of DC pink in the tail of the comet, combined with the diagonal create an excellent illusion of movement within the composition. I think I love everything about this cover composition, color and draftsmanship.
It is grey tone goodness and better yet no-one in the editors department had to add any useless words - just the title of the main story - in a little tiny text box, and a smaller box at the bottom letting you know the Atomic Knights have a story inside too, and no word balloons! As well there shouldn't be on the moon.
Overall, an excellent grey tone 60's sci-fi image.
