NOTES OF INTEREST: This issue was released in two editions – a regular edition with a full-color cover and a variant edition with a sketch cover. The comics were apparently released in a 1:1 ratio, meaning that half of the books had a full-color cover while the other half had covers in black and white. This particular issue is an example of the sketch cover variant. This issue also marks the return of Greg Capullo to the art team.

ISSUE SYNOPSIS: - Endgame (part 9 of 12)

Spawn continues to find himself caught in a vicious game between heaven and hell and their players. In order to move his master plan forward, Clown needs help from behind bars, which leads to a face-to-face confrontation with Sam and Twitch. The Freak returns to bring back a dark message, and Jim begins to accept his current state.

REFLECTIONS: This is another Spawn comic that seems to be exceedingly tough to find in top condition. Once again, the black cover presents a real problem for collectors of high-grade issues.

CENSUS REPORT: Tied for top census copy as of 6/13
