NOTES OF INTEREST: This issue marks the first cameo appearance of Anti-Spawn, who was renamed "The Redeemer" in issue 31. Anti-Spawn is shown on the last page. This is also the first issue of Spawn pencilled by Greg Capullo and features a cover by the artist.

ISSUE SYNOPSIS: - Reflections (part 1 of 3)

Shocked over the defeat of Angela, the realm of Heaven grows concerned over Spawn’s power. In order to avenge the loss of their angelic warrior, Heaven creates a soldier of their own by bestowing the Elemental Fire of Heaven upon Jason Wynn – the CIA chief responsible for giving up Al Simmons to Malebolgia in exchange for the secrets of psychoplasm. The being now known as "Anti-Spawn" returns to Earth in order to eliminate his arch enemy.
