ISSUE SYNOPSIS: Untitled

When Al Simmons used the powers of the Hellspawn to kill himself, he inadvertently created the Omega class – a new breed of Hellspawn much more powerful than any previous symbiote. The Omega Spawn attacks Spawn and Violator. At first, the Freak stands by watching but soon seizes the Violator and drags him to Hell in order to reveal his true identity. As a result, Violator’s plans are drastically altered. Jim Downing, the new Spawn, is knocked unconscious during the fight. This allows him to recover a forgotten memory of Simmons. Downing is also able to remember details that partially explain how the Hellspawn curse came upon him.
