Cogliostro reveals his true origin as Cain – the world’s first murderer. Cog is able to convince the Redeemer to recover Mammon’s box, which is presented as a gift to Spawn – the new king of Hell. The box contains the last remaining piece of Eden; it is all that remains of paradise. Cog then grants Spawn the one thing he has always desired. Through Cog’s magic, Spawn is able to return to Earth in the human form of Al Simmons.
