Owner's Description

Now this is a sweet dinosaur cover; the blue/green shade of the beastie - the look of the GI & his weapon, the steel grey backgroud. Even the stupid text box in the foreground can't ruin it.

I gotta admit - most of the dinosaur/war covers are great. This one is no exception. Squish the damn jeep - grab the soldier (with a semi-prehensile tail) - and eat hot lead. ON so many books in the 60s we are treated to these terrible grey backgrounds - but with the war books - well, it just feels like a dark, brooding, overcast sky. Instead of looking like the characters are floating in limbo or some shit.

Anyway - much love for this one. And special kudos for whoever chose the masthead color this month - it leaps off the page. WAR. Good stuff.
