This piece was my oldest 9.8 example for 8 months and my fist 12-cent cover in said grade. I'm really pleased with the structure of this book, very flat, tight spine, and page edges that are still white. All and all, a very fresh piece with tremendous eye appeal. This piece is also from my favorite pedigree, its just doesn't get any better! This dark background makes this issue in particular difficult to obtain in high grade. When I first started collecting CGC comics I never dreamed I would obtain a 12-cent cover in 9.8 grade, the quantity and price of such issues seemed so distant from my reach. I sold several books to raise the funds for this piece and I never looked back. High grade aside, this cover is a really neat example that is typical of the Silver Age, right out of the original Star Trek T.V. show of the era.
