This was the last issue of the original Marvel run to take place prior to the Empire Strikes Back. This issue also occurred noticeably later than the events of issue 37 and was a self contained standalone story. It included Luke and Leia actually making a departure from the outer boundary of the traditional galaxy to meet an extra-galactic entity.
