Writer: J. M. DeMatteis but credited under the pretend name "Wally Lombego", Penciller: Carmine Infantino, Inker: Tom Palmer, Cover artist: Ed Hannigan and Tom Palmer.

This issue had an interesting history because it resulted in a last minute change to the American version of the story. J.M. DeMatteis' original ending included a pacifist viewpoint being presented in the last page of the story. Lucasfilm required an edit that removed this viewpoint. However, the unedited ending was still printed within the UK version in Star Wars Weekly issue #141 (in black and white). The interior image provides a side by side comparison between the UK version on the left beside the American version on the right.
