Owner's Description
x2 signed by Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting. Big thanks goes out to Will Wong and Kris Moore for helping me to be able to get this one (and alot of others - this issue all the way to #36!) done.
It's been said before about this series, but I just have mention it here. Somehow the book has continued to be amazing despite the death of Steve Rogers. Secretly inside, I'll be waiting for the eventual *return* somewhere down the line.
Little cool note is that Prof. Xavier makes an appearance to probe the mind of Cross Bones who is in SHIELD custody. I thought it was cool due to Brubaker also writing Uncanny X-Men (Try not to be too shocked that we see Xavier walking around becauseit's a long story).
This issue also features the debut of a new incarnation of the Serpent Squad under the Red Skull's direction. Look what happens when Cap is dead for a couple issues!
Fury is working with The Falcon who is working with Sharon Carter, all of whom, are trying to find Bucky.
Doctor Faustus is seen in the thick of Shield in disguise, a small inkling as to how much chaos is waiting to happen.
The shocker in this issue comes when Tony Stark is presented a letter, the last wishes of Captain America. The explanation is that, "In spite of everything, you were the one man who could do what needed to be done . . . if he fell"
And of course, the issue ends on another cliffhanger as we see Sin and the Serpent Squad having already taken out some Shield Guards are about to free CrossBones!
Also pictured is my reading copy signed by creative team of Ed Brubaker, Steve Epting and Mike Perkins.
