Owner's Description
x2 signed by Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting. Big thanks goes out to Will Wong and Kris Moore for helping me to be able to get this one (and alot of others - this issue all the way to #36!) done.
A truly stellar issue, with Cap vs. the Winter Soldier which ultimately ends with Cap using the cube on Bucky, saying, "Remember who you are"
At the issues end, we learn that the Red Skull is in fact alive, using bits of the cosmic cubes power to transfer his consciousness into Lukin's!
Fantastic issue with a great homage cover.
Also pictured is my reading copy, signed by the creative team Ed Brubaker, Steve Epting, and Frank D'Armata.
Personal Note:
This also happens to be one of the tougher issues to find, perhaps due to the retro cover homage that is used and probably because of its significance to the Winter Soldier story arc as it is the "conclusion" part of the story. One of the great things about this run is that Brubaker essentially serialized it, so the twists and turns never end!
Prices for this book have slowly been climbing as the series gains more and more popularity. I firmly believed that this was at least a $10 comic about a year ago, but recent prices that I've seen have been for quite a bit more than $10. Even the price guide portion of Wizard has this at $10 now, so if you can find it cheap, get it while you can!
UPDATE:
I used the NM/M copy I had set aside and scored an opportunity to get x2 signed and eligible for the Signature Series label. The end result is the gorgeous upgrade that is now pictured.
