Owner's Description

Flash teams up with the Reverse Flash to battle Mr. Element in Issue #147 from 1964. While staying at home during the pandemic, I have spent many hours updating the records of our collection. The census here is topped by three 9.8s and, somewhat surprisingly, I discovered that at one time we owned all three of those 9.8s. In fact, until I checked my shelves, I was not sure exactly which book or books we had kept.

I am not sure if this is the nicest of the three or not, there was a very nice copy with WP we bought in 2012. But I believe this was the first book to achieve 9.8 status and the Pacific Coast pedigree copy, so we opted to keep this one. (As an aside, it is always a difficult call for me whether to go for a Pedigree or WP, everything else being even.).

We acquired this book in the December 2010 CL auction.
