Spawn freefalls through the levels of Hell where he he undergoes a physical and psychological baptism. Layers of Al Simmons' life are peeled away and his weaknesses are exposed. Finally, Malebolgia rips Al's heart out. Meanwhile, Terry's doctors are still puzzled by his miraculous recovery while Cyan refuses to give up a filthy shoelace she found at the hospital.
