Owner's Description

My Comicshop purchase - June 2020. Tied with six others for HIGHEST GRADED on the CGC Census (as of April 2021). You can expect to spend around $300 for a 9.8, but you can get a much better deal by going after one of the twenty-six 9.6's or twenty-one 9.4's that are out there. There have been definite opportunities at 9.8 copies in the last few years, so if you are waiting on one, it probably will come up at least once a year (if history is any indication).

This is the first of six consecutive DC 100 Page Super Spectacular issues. I love these books. I had all of the DC 100 Pagers in the Justice League of America run (#110-116) - all in 9.8s and white pages - they were, as the name says, absolutely spectacular. To have all seven of those issues in that condition was a great feat and it hurt to sell them.

Of course, with 100 pages (no, I've actually never counted to verify the number of pages), there are reprinted stories along with the new, main story. This issue contains the first Batman team-up with Mister Miracle. He will appear again in issues #128 & 138. This appearance in B&B came roughly three years after he debuted in his own title (created by Jack Kirby). That title lasted only 18 issues, however.
