Owner's Description

Ebay purchase-July 2018. This was one of the B&B's I was unsuccessful in acquiring in the CL auction of June 2017, having my bid of $120 outdone by #10. Just as well, as I ended up with my copy for much less a year later. This copy is tied with four others for HIGHEST GRADED on the census. As of April 2021, there are a scant twelve copies even certified by CGC.

This issue has two stories. The main story is a Batman/Creeper team-up (for the first time since B&B#80). The second story involves Christoper Chance, The Human Target. Action Comics had been the home to the Human Target, appearing as secondary stories in issues #419, 420, 422, 423, 425, 426, 429 and 432 back in 1973-74 before appearing in this title for two issues in 1978. The character would show up again in six issues of Detective Comics, the first of which being #483. He would also show up in three television series, the first in 1992 starring Rick Springfield, again in 2010 starring Mark Valley and finally on the CW TV Series "Arrow" by Wil Traval.
