I was fortunate to get this piece at the time I did for the price I got it for. Two other 9.8 examples of this issue sold for $375 each in the first few months of 2021. I also pulled a raw copy that I believe has a great chance of grading 9.8 for only $2.00 in 2016. This piece was also the first copy of this issue to be graded 9.8 by CGC. This issue also recognizes the passing of Superman co-creator Joe Shuster (1914-1992).

Aside from being a part of the "Doomsday!" teaser campaign and my childhood nostalgia, I really enjoy this cover. The full moon setting and a lycanthropic antagonist [The Jackal] make for a unique and haunting cover seldom seen in Superman books. In May, 2020 my dream of getting the second printing of this issue in 9.8 grade came true.
