Owner's Description
<i>"In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power... Green Lantern's light!" Green Lantern Oath</i>
I was really happy to originally find this issue raw back in the '90's as it wasn't that easy at the time. I thought it was really cool to include Green Lantern in the story the way they did. I bought my first 9.8 copy of this book already graded years later. It was in a holder from two versions ago; I had thought about getting that one reholdered but it felt a bit nostalgic to have the old slab on it. I eventually found the copy you see here on My Comic Shop for $49.99. I decided to buy the second copy because, by that time, I had two copies of the second printing and so I'd have two pair. I then started a project to reholder all of the books in this set that were in old holders. As I was deciding which ones to send in next I decided to swap these two books out in my set so I could present this one in the new holder, rather than get the other one reholdered.
I thought it would be cool to include a Mongul action figure with this book because he is beating the heck out of GL on the cover. Although not from the same storyline, I can't recall many times this guy made it into action figure form. This figure is huge! Check out the price too... not too bad for a figure this size! The prices they charge for figures these days makes me glad I no longer go out of my way to collect them!
