<b>The Man of Steel Fights for His Life!</b>

I really like the way Pa and Superman are reaching out to one another. The story of Pa and Clark has been portrayed different ways in various media; movies, cartoons, TV, and comics. I personally prefer when Jonathan is alive and still available to mentor Clark as he works through the challenges of being caught between a regular existence as Clark and also having so many people rely on him to be Superman. I don't think this is incredibly different than anyone that moves away from home and begins to take on more responsibility, and that may be what I like about it.

I purchased the Universal copy of this book that helped get this set to 100% completion on eBay for $129.99. I later upgraded this slot (and the Regular Edition) to a Signature Series book signed by Jerry Ordway, and later upgraded the Regular Edition again to a Universal 9.9. I had this book reholdered in February 2021.

The second image shows my original copies of these printings of this book; Regular, Collector's, and Platinum Editions as they were when first collected. I personally had the toughest time finding the Regular Edition. Once I found it, I registered what I had of this set at the time... <i>and then started the difficult search for the rest of the books... in 9.8!</i>
