The rat creatures attack Gran'ma Ben's while Phoney finds Smiley at the Barrelhaven pub. Lucius Down, the pub's proprietor, helps Phoney discover that his Boneville legal tender has no value in the valley.

By far, the hardest issue in the series to get in 9.8. This is the highest grade in the Signature Series category (tied with one other)! Signature was secured by Rich Henn who then sold the book on eBay to Jolly Comics. I won it at auction on ComicLink.
