Owner's Description

In May 2016, I purchased a CGC 9.4 from Bedrock City. Prior to the August 2021 Heritage auction, I had not seen any of the three 9.6’s become available (there are NO 9.8's on the CGC Census!!) I would argue that both Metamorpho and the Metal Men have fringe popularity at best, so there is less likelihood of a large number of high grade books available to begin with.
I commented only a few months earlier that those three 9.6’s seemed to be locked away…but this one (along with a number of other great B&B issues) finally came to market and I was able to win it, adding this book (tied with two others for HIGHEST GRADED on the CGC Census) to my collection.
Over five years to do the upgrade – kind of makes you have to grab the opportunity when it comes up…right?
