Owner's Description

While Marvel Tales started off as an annual, Issue #4 came out in September 1966, just two months after Issue #3. This issue has the same cover that graced Issue # 3 and will grace subsequent issues until issue #11, that of four covers from ASM, JIM. ST, and TTA. In this case, the featured reprints were ASM #7, JIM #86, ST #102 and TTA #39, which originally hits the newsstands in 1962-1963. Thus, these books are in many cases not much younger than the issues they reprint.

Our WP 9.6 is tied for second highest graded trailing a paid of 9.8s. We opted for it over the Federal Hill copy, which was another 9.6, for the WP. We acquired it off an E-Bay listing on 4/30/2021. It use to be that E-Bay listings were the most expensive buying option, but with a recent influx of speculators in the comics market, we have found that such listings are now frequently cheaper that auctions, which seem to be the preferable buying option for all the new money flooding the comic market. As far as comic collecting, we live in interesting times.
