So, here we are with about our sixth World’s Finest, which I guess means we need to decide what we are doing here. I initially just bought Issue #199 for the race with Flash. But then we saw a couple of single highest graded issues that were not too over-the-top pricewise and decided to stick our toes in. This is another of those. Admittedly, we paid far more for this book than the last time it changed hands, but it was still just a few hundred and it is the single highest graded example and a Twin Cities pedigree with WP.

With regard to this book, the cover on it, as with many Batman Superman issues, seems kind of silly, which is probably why we never collected them. That being said, I rather like the ones with medieval themes, even if they make little sense. Besides, since the collect all the other JLA members, it just seems like having a few representative Batman and Superman covers makes some sense and, with World’s Finest, you get two for one.

So far, we have only bought highest graded issues, mostly single highest graded. But we have seen a few pedigrees that are second highest graded that we are now considering. Since for now this collection is obscured, I guess all this is just for us for now, but if the collection gets further along, we may unobscure it.

We bought this issue off an E-Bay listing on 7/3/2020. We thought the asking price was a little high, but threw in a bid 1/3 off and got it. We knew based on GPA that the owner still made a nice profit, as he bought it for just a couple of hundred bucks.
