Owner's Description

Issue #172 features another appearance by Gorilla Grodd. It is probably the toughest book to find in high grade in the entire run because of the black cover. While our book is just a 9.4, it trails only one 9.6 in the census. I have actually never seen that book, so I assume it is locked away somewhere or no longer exists. At least this copy boasts a Twin City Pedigree and white pages.

Acquired in the October 2011 Heritage auction.

2021 Update: Well, I have now seen the 9.6, as the owner contacted me a few months ago. Unfortunately, he is not selling, but I did buy my GL #8 9.4 from him.
