This is not a series I was very familiar with though it ran six seasons. Wikipedia offers a little more data on the series that inspired the comic book:
Target: The Corruptors! is an American crime drama series starring Stephen McNally which aired on ABC from September 29, 1961 to June 8, 1962. The series was produced by Dick Powell's Four Star Television.
Synopsis[edit]
McNally stars as newspaper reporter Paul Marino. The character of Jack Flood, Marino's undercover agent, was portrayed by Robert Harland. The pair infiltrated the mob and reported on different crimes in New York City.
Production notes[edit]
The program was created by Lester Viele, who was also a co-producer. Velie had written articles about the New York City slums and the infiltration of organized crime into the garment industry. He also wrote about Teamsters President James Hoffa.
Target: The Corruptors! aired on Friday evenings after 77 Sunset Strip, then at the height of its six seasons on the air. The competition was Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone on CBS and the second half of The Dinah Shore Show, a musical variety series which rotated with The Bell Telephone Hour on NBC.[1]
There were also a limited number of Target: The Corruptors! comic books.
