Story continues from Amazing Spider-Man #397. Doctor Octopus works feverishly to save Peter Parker's life as the Vulture's deadly virus pushes the wall-crawler closer and closer to death! What a strange turn of events to see Doc Ock helping Spider-Man! Perhaps the six-armed super-villain's heart is not as cold as it's seemed through the years! After temporarily containing the virus, Dr. Octopus drops the web-slinger off at his brownstone to be reunited with Mary Jane! And once inside she announces to her husband: "We're having a baby!" Mary Jane is pregnant! Story continues in Amazing Spider-Man #398. Cameo appearances by Aunt May, Anna Watson, Kaine, and Stunner. Flip story: "Scoop!" Story by David Michelinie.
