Owner's Description

Highest Grade (1 of 1). 1st appearance of Hector Hammond. (The first of Green Lantern's recurring villains who appears by himself and often in control of other villains. In this first encounter with the Lantern, he hyperevolves several other individuals to do his bidding. In later issues starting with GL #22, he himself becomes a hyperevolved, megagenius who is wheelchair-bound.) STORY 1: A group of scientists held captive and hyper-evolved by a man named Hector Hammond draws Pieface (changed by Hal Jordan into a duplicate Green Lantern) to them with a tractor-beam, hoping for his aid, but causes the ring to fly off his finger in the process.
