Owner's Description
Captain Marvel and I go Waaayyy back. Sure I knew of Superman and he would eventually become my favorite Hero but the first hero in my life was Captain Marvel. From the times I read his comics to the many times I watched him on Saturday mornings while wearing my pajamas and eating my Count Chocula or Franken Berry cereal. In my eyes Captain Marvel was real since I saw him on T.V. and I always listened to his advice at the end of each episode. Since my family life seemed far from normal and I felt alone I gravitated to his lessons on life and being a good person. The morals he shared beginning in 1974 have stayed with me even to this day. Now that I am 57 years old I still want to be a hero and have tried my best through the various jobs of my life. I have always tried to live my life using kindness and compassion thanks to the examples I found through the adventures of the good Captain. I received this signed picture this year reminding me of one of the greatest lessons anyone could learn....Everyone brings something valuable to the table...Even me. I bought Shazam! #1 at my local drug store and can still hear the spinning comic rack when it turned and still smell the candles at the drug store...good times
