Collects Bram Stoker's Dracula #1-4
Movie adaptation.
Gold foil title.
Purchased Raw: 09/06/2021 - $25.00
Grade Date: 10/10/2021 (Unpressed) - 1 of 1 in 9.8 after grading.
I purchased this book raw off eBay, listed for $39.99, my first offer of $25.00 was accepted. Described as: “Actual Scan of book. Comic that was owned by store owner. Never read - bagged and boarded upon receiving. Comic in NM to Mint (9.4+) condition.”
The photos in the eBay listing only showed the book in a dirty poly-bag, it was also apparent comic books were not the seller's main focus, but I decided to take a chance. I got a good feeling upon seeing the actual book for the first time, so much so that I used rubber gloves to remove it from the sleeve to handle it for the first time. Not long after carefully examining the front and back I filled out an invoice for CGC and packed it up for shipping.
I began searching for high grade copies of this TPB in 2017, not long after I purchased my CGC 9.8 example of
Bram Stoker’s Dracula
#1. I purchased two copies of the TPB in September 2019 off eBay with hopes for strong 9.8 candidates. One copy arrived damaged, the other safely, and looked beautiful, but there were a few flaws that would keep it from desired grade. I’m thrilled to have submitted the first 9.8 in the CGC census for this book, and my finger prints were never on it.
