Ultimate Spider-Man serves the distinct pleasure of being meaningful to me for two reasons. The first being that Spider-Man has always been one of my two favorite Superheroes growing up. I'd grown up reading all the various titles in the 90s and to have a new series start that I could be on from the ground up was amazing. The second reason was that it got me back into comic reading/collecting at a time that I'd given up all but one or two titles.

While death is hardly ever permanent in the comic book realm, the Quesada variant to this issue is no less emotional. A fallen hero getting a simple affirmation from his own fallen hero. We should all be so lucky.
