Boozad's Bio
I have been reading and collecting comics for nearly 25 years now on and off. I took an enforced hiatus from collecting when my first collection was thrown in the trash by my ex-girlfriend after we split up in 2000. I was truly gutted and didn't buy another comic until I watched The Dark Knight back in 2008. I've always been a huge Batman fan and the movie reignited the love I have for Batman comics, so I dived head first back into the hobby, and boy had it changed...
My collecting focus over the past couple of years has been wide and varied, pretty much lacking in any focus at all. I wandered across a lot of Modern titles from Batman to Walking Dead, Chew to Preacher. But with recently moving house the purse strings had to be pulled tight, so I moved a large chunk of my inventory to fund the work that needed doing and have focused now solely on the Batman title. I'm aiming at CA/MA 9.8s at the moment, I purged my collection of 9.6s as I find this helps me focus on one true goal.
At some point I will delve back into Bronze Age and Silver Age Batman, Neal Adams and Carmine Infantino have drawn some of my favourite Batman covers to date.
I'm currently in the process of clearing up my registry as there are many books still in there that I no longer own, and I have a lot of pictures and descriptions to update. I chastise myself regularly for not keeping on top of my registry sets, and now is the time to start cleaning my house up!
I'm Gav by the way, many of you will know me from various boards as Boozad, or Booznads, or Boozrad... you get the picture. Well I hope you enjoy looking at my registry sets, what are left of them, but they will be expanding in the months and years to come. Here's to filling out as much of that Batman run as possible!
