Set Description:
Probably my favourite mini series to date. Full Circle Comics' owner Simon Reed has woven a fine tale of brotherly love, sibling rivalry and monstrous transformations in a perfectly weighted three-part series. Complimented by the art of Werewolf By Night legend Mike Ploog, and painted by Simon 'Lobo' Bisley, the creative team itself points to the quality of the title.
What drew me to this title was the regular cover to #1, I've always been a fan of werewolf movies and books and Ploog's cover is an absolute beauty of a piece. Bisley's paints compliment it perfectly, and any werewolf fan would be instantly drawn to it.
I was not disappointed either, Simon Reed's writing is smooth and fluid, and for my first time trying out a Full Circe book I felt comfortable with it straight away. You feel a real connection with the characters rather quickly, which for a standalone three parter is some feat.
I am just waiting for the final two books to be added to the set so I can enter them (#1 1:10 variant 9.8 & 2007 Comic Expo Preview 9.9). There are actually 8 books to the set, but #2 was printed with two different covers at an equal print run so are not considered variants.
Both of these books I've included in the #2 slot, cover A in the obverse and cover B in the reverse.
All of these book were submitted by myself to CGC over a period of time, and the set includes my first ever submitted 9.9.
