The initial printing (print run 1,000) had a black dot pattern in the margins of some interior pages and a heavier font on the inside front cover, making the text harder to read. Wrong cover art. The cover displays the correct title, date and issue #, but the cover art is for Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987) #1, printed at the same time. The misprint was recalled for destruction and replaced with a corrected version. An estimated 1,000 of the error copies survived the recall.

On a far off world, Dr. Honeycutt is attempting to perfect a mind over matter headband. A freak thunderstorm short circuits his plans and transfers his consciousness to his gardening droid. The authorities believe the droid killed the doctor, putting him/it on the run. After a long chase, they almost have him until the sudden arrival of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
