Original notations:
This is the first book from the books I am dubbing my birthday books that I purchased raw and had returned a 9.8. I purchased the book at the New York Special Edition to take with me to get the onsite service from CGC and CCS. I chose 4 comic books from the convention, but this was the only one I purchased from Greg Reece. He also dropped the asking price a bit which always has me going back to any dealer. I did go to him at Wizard World in Philadelphia after grading was completed to share my good fortune.
I did not expect the grade it got, figuring in my wildest dreams I'd be happy with a 9.4.
I have decided that I will not crack this, but if I try for a signature series to start from scratch, but I think instead of spending more money on the same book, I'll do my best to get all the books from April of 72' pressed and graded. This was one of four I picked up at the special edition, but only one of three that went to CGC.

I was told that this would not grade any higher than an 8.5, but the reason I went and did it anyway is because it was a Savannah pedigree. I’ll replace it later.

Personal Notes:
At the time when I first started searching for my Birthday Books I had a few guidelines. One of those were that if the book was already graded, it had to be at least a 9.4. However, also if it was already graded I wanted to do the best I could to go after a 9.8 on certain books. However when I saw this one at World Wide Comics I was pulled in simply because of the Date Stamp. Between the price and that little extra, it was worth it. I will still look for that 9.8, but until then, let's be honest, this is a beautiful 9.6
I did have to turn it in for a new case. It seems the 52 "Pagers" don't hold up well in the older slabs.
